Would you like to make Valentine's Day extra speciale this year? Put on some Dean Martin and prepare the wine glasses!

Here is a delicious menu of recipes to help make your Valentine's Day meal light, original and authentically Italian.

Starter / Appetizer - December Salad

First Course - Cream of Leek Soup with Shrimp

Main Course - Snapper (can substitute with sea bass or sea bream) baked in salt with Ginger Sauce (*note: the recipe in the link calls for sea bream, but you can also use snapper)

Side Dish - Potatoes with Oregano

Dessert - Baci di Dama Cookies 

Wine - Ribolla (or your favorite white wine)

Preparation Schedule

Thursday, February 12th
Head to the grocery store and pick up all of the items you will need for each recipe above

Friday, February 13th 
Prepare the Baci di Dama cookies

Saturday, Valentine’s Day

5:00 p.m. – prepare the vegetables for the Cream of Leek soup and cook them
5:30 p.m. – peel the shrimp and sauté them quickly in a pan
6:00 p.m. – blend the cream of leek soup and prepare the fish and the sauce, prepare potatoes
6:40 p.m. – set the table and chill the wine in the fridge (I suggest a Ribolla)
7:00 p.m. – put fish and potatoes in the oven
7:05 p.m. – prepare the December Salad
7:30 p.m. – dinner is served!

*You can always change the times above to suit your individual needs. This simply serves as a guideline so you know how much time to allow yourself when preparing the dinner.
